Because if you dont crash (if your a good driver) you'll reach a higher speed than a high accel and low top speed car.Plus a low accel and high top speed car will do better Drag(by the way, my favorite). .

If you pay atention a stock car's stats (before tuning) you'll see that it has some sort of balance.This ditermens it's performens in a tuned future.

About ten minutes ago I raced the most difficult drag in NFSU2, in my firt try things didn't go so well...
