Re: Shift 2 DLC Questions?
I would recommend sueing EA. PC customers that is. They release DLC for the two console versions and not the PC version. Yet the profit made would mean a slight hit for allowing DLC for the PC market would barely even register. It's damn criminal. As for the console versions, the legends pack is bet...

Re: Your favorite FICTIONAL cars?
There is only one and it's the Road King from Flat Out 2... http://images.wikia.com/flatout/images/1/18/RoadKing1.png IMO if Ford had made this slimmer meaner and probably faster version of the new Mustang, they would have been onto a winner, however they made the fat ass lard bucket that's currentl...

Re: phyics question
Yeah you can feel the difference in that the car wants to hang out at about 30 degrees instead of go straight, using the right tires for the car makes a huge difference and the least grippy aren't necessarily the best. With the 1.1 patch a couple of bugs that made 1 or 2 tracks overly hard were fixe...

Re: Is full 360 degree steering on a gamepad possible?
Actually most race cars use 270 degree steering and quick steering racks. I think Shift supports 270 but not sure on 360.

Re: Best line vanishing
Actually the best line indicator is terrible for most of Nordschleife and a lot of other tracks. What's worse is that to get the best line completion you have to follow the damn thing. Turning it off and learning the cars limits through the corners and using basic rules of racing lines and you'll be...

I hope the Legends Pack and the Drag Racing come out soon. Along with a performance pack plus ATI and Nvidia pulling their fingers out and doing proper drivers.

Sounds like a memory issue. How much RAM are ya running? Or it could be the result of a memory leak, then it wouldn't matter how much you are running

Re: Pro Street rapin' my graphics card...
Actually no Pro Street is happy with a 9800GTX or higher. The low end Nvidia or AMD/ATi cards get utterly destroyed by Pro Street. Mainly due to Black Box's inability to optimize any code :D You can get a reasonable card for about the $220 mark maybe less if you hunt around. AMD/ATi 6850 or 6950 wou...

Re: I WANT UNDERGROUND 3!
I disagree. A new tuner game is needed, however the premise for tuning has altered as mentioned above, so race tuning and serious cars are back in business. Proper bodykit's, engine swaps, and upgrades for the cars is needed. Sod neons and scissor doors, they were crap in the Tuner era, and they are...

Re: Flatout: UC Fps problems
Don't bother with UC, it ruined the physx of FO2 anyway, plus it ruined online play with forcing GFWL. The new cars are nothing special though the gfx upgrade was nice. Problem is the handling is not as good for some reason. But hey. As for fixing it, I haven't run it in a LOOOONNNNG time. I only ke...

Pity really, Pro Street could have been fixed by the players with the release of the modded cars for it. But hey that's EA for ya.

Re: SHIFT 2 PC Patch #1 Out
Gotta love the wannabe overclockers who went crazy with the release of this patch. It does improve performance on low end systems, but doesn't address the high end systems issues at the moment. Crossfire and SLI are still having issues with the game and SMS are working with AMD and Nvidia to fix the...

Re: Need For Speed: The Run Trailer
It's a lot more interesting that Black Boxes more recent games. I like the premise, it's a reason to get back to the NFS 3-6 style racing/running from cops. With the 3 cities we can assume that upgrades are possible, how that is though is another matter. Interesting to note that RX-7 is a Series 8 (...

Re: Drift help!!!!
M3 E46 stock (minor handling mods maybe like gears) is perfect for drift, thought he S14 is nice for tighter tracks like that oval thing. The final slide isn't that tough, but again for some reason different cars gain points faster, again M3 E46, S14, Shelby Terlingua Mustang, etc... The DA 240SX is...

You can object all you like, however that's only if you install the damn bff files. I only install the input lag reduction dll and get faster times as a result of less input lag. Can't stand games where it feels like you are a co-driver telling the driver what to do... Try it with and without the dl...
Re: Ugly Cars
Enzo does look retarded, however I can't fathom how you lump it with the 458 Italia as that is probably the best thing from Ferrari since the F40 and 288 GTO. The rest could all have come out of the generic mould... Murcie SV :o I love that car, but then I like designs purposed towards handling and ...

First car I drove was a Ford Sierra Estate Ghia, though my first car was a 1988 1.4l Peugeot 205 XS. First drifter was my poor 1987 RX-7 FC3S, now semi-stripped and awaiting pickup by new owner. Got another one for sale and getting a new one from Japan in the next 6-9 months. Can't wait to get a rot...

Probably because "omg he modded his game he cheated to beat me" QFT It's regarded as a cheat though all it does is reduce input lag. It's not a cheat it just allows more control over the car without feeling like it's a barge on a high speed canal ride. Thing is over at NoGrip there are pe...

9600GT and this game = PAIN to the eyes. Hell I would run it on my 4890 (or my incoming 6990) but my PSU just crapped itself so waiting for it's replacement at the moment :( I've got a 9600GT in at the moment as it doesn't draw as much power as the 4890 which results in no crashes due to power req's...
