Undercover All Tier Car Test!
Posted: 26 Nov 2008, 16:37
Hi!
I decided to do a big test among most Undercover cars to have at least an idea about what cars to choose from each Tier.
Conditions of the Test:
a) Track choosen was Peak Ridge Loop. It has good straights, slow-medium corners, fast corners and dirt;
b) The Cars were upgraded with Max Performance Parts (Pro in Tiers 4, 3 & 2; Ultimate in Tier 1);
c) The Setup was left unchanged, in other words, all Setup Options 0 (Default Settings);
d) NOS was not used;
e) Didnt test the Old American Muscle Cars;
f) Did only 3 Laps with each car, choosing the fastest time.
Limitations of the Test:
Because Setups were left unchanged and NOS was not used, the results may not be accurate, although I believe they are quite close to what a more extensive testing would show.
Another thing is that on some occasions, maybe 2-3 times, the cars made better laptimes then their total race time. I will try to explain... That had to do with some cars being slower on 1st Lap because of slower start, but after having a good speed they could hold it better then the other. For example: the Gallardo made the 3rd Fastest Tier 2 Lap, but only the 6th Total Time (times were pretty close in this class).
About the times, there are a few surprises I think... Check them out:
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - 46.38s - Tier 1
Ford GT - 48.59s - Tier 1
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 - 48.81s - Tier 1
McLaren F1 - 49.48s - Tier 1
Pagani Zonda F - 50.21s - Tier 1
Audi R8 - 51.51s - Tier 1
Porsche 911 GT2 - 52.31s - Tier 2
Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 - 52.78s - Tier 1
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - 53.56s - Tier 2
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 - 53.81s - Tier 2
Porsche Carrera GT - 54.04s - Tier 1
Mercedes CLS 63 AMG - 54.08s - Tier 2
Shelby GT500KR - 54.26s - Tier 2
Porsche 911 Turbo - 54.39s - Tier 2
Dodge Viper SRT10 - 54.51s - Tier 2
Nissan GT-R R35 - 54.53s - Tier 1
BMW M3 E92 - 55.39s - Tier 2
Aston Martin DB9 - 56.58s - Tier 2
Audi RS4 - 56.64s - Tier 2
Mercedes SLR McLaren - 57.31s - Tier 2
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 - 59.21s - Tier 3
Ford Focus ST - 59.28s - Tier 4
VW Scirocco - 59.56s - Tier 4
Nissan 370Z - 59.98s - Tier 3
BMW M6 - 1m 00.28s - Tier 2
Mazda Mazda3 MPS - 1m 00.56s - Tier 4
Audi TT - 1m 00.94s - Tier 3
Lotus Elise - 1m 00.96s - Tier 4
Lexus ISF - 1m 01.53s - Tier 2
Audi S5 - 1m 01.94s - Tier 2
Renault Mégane - 1m 01.96s - Tier 3
BMW M3 E46 - 1m 02.03s - Tier 2
Cadillac CTS-V - 1m 03.58s - Tier 4
Dodge Charger SRT8 - 1m 03.73s - Tier 3
Ford Escort Cosworth RS - 1m 04.93s - Tier 4
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X - 1m 05.06s - Tier 3
Ford Mustang GT - 1m 05.29s - Tier 3
Toyota Supra - 1m 05.48s - Tier 3
Chevrolet Camaro Concept - 1m 05.88s - Tier 3
Nissan 240sx - 1m 06.76s - Tier 4
Nissan Silvia S15 - 1m 08.03s - Tier 4
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX - 1m 08.29s - Tier 3
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray - 1m 09.18s - Tier 3
Mazda RX-8 - 1m 09.71s - Tier 4
Pontiac Solstice GXP - 1m 10.56s - Tier 4
Mazda RX-7 - 1m 11.54s - Tier 3
VW R32 - 1m 12.76s - Tier 4
There are a lot of Surprises, as the Ford Focus, but also disappointments like Mazda! :S Some continue like last year, as Mitsubishi which still sucks!
Anyway, Tier 4 seems to be owned by Americans and Europeans. Tier 3 is domain to Japonese cars, but its important to say that they barely beated Tier 4. Tier 2 seems to be European, with Americans close. Tier 1, well, I guess this will be the year of American Cars, with Europeans close by, since Z06 seems to be on a classe of its own.
Cya!
