What car do you think is the best value-for-money speed car?

Note-I race on King and I need one with reasonable steering...

I think that the Bugatti is the best car for speed challenge. And, necause of a glitch, it costs $0 .

Buy a 911 Turbo and put Stock Suspension. You will not need another car.

Without a doubt the R34 GTR. The acceleration on that thing is mad, just make sure that for Nevada B (the shorter course) you have at the most a Stage 1 suspension kit. Stage 2 and above unsettles the car at high speeds on that massive hill before the first checkpoint. For Autobahnring, grab a Stage 4 suspension because there's no huge bumps to muck up your times, and for Ebisu Stage 2 is really all that is needed. As a second choice, the Viper SRT10, mainly because it's great in the first Super Promotion Challenge Day. But either way, you've got a good car, but when you get up to that challenge race day, pick the Skyline and kit it out in Stage 4 trim.

I've tried the skyline and the porsche 911 turbo on my friends computer, and they were great, but for some reason they seem really twitchy (as in really sudden responsive turns)without a racing wheel...

In a lvl3 R34 GTR you can go as fast a bughatti veryon, and I've gotten average speeds of 330km/h.

I actually haven't driven most of those cars with speed challenge. If the 911 Turbo was on that list, I'd choose it.

Well, it's kinda embarrasing , but I CAN get the Turbo, but don't want to. You see, I'm REALLY desperate to finish the game and the Turbo will only leave me with a bit of money. I want one which I can by, rack up upgrades instantly, and start racking up cash again.

So, anything else?

True, the Turbo is a Porsche, so it costs a lot. I'll have a try with the others and see which one's best.

R34 for me. Handles well and accelerates really like crazy.

the new dilemna!!!

I just got a FREE Viper. It's set to speed, and it's quite fast, just on the pre-tuned car.

So, should I sell it to fund other cars(eg. R35/911 Turbo) or should I keep it and do some money dumping into it????

911 Turbo is the best car. Maybe with Keyboard this isnt true, dont know. I see people here saying they can keep 280-300 or they can do 330 km/h average! 911 Turbo allowed me to do all 3 C Tracks with 390 or more average! :S

I still say: 911 is the best Car. Only in Autobahn C it looses to the Lambo 640, the others are his. I think that not even McLaren F1 can beat it.

Anyway here in my links you can find a 2m 48s in Nevada C, 1m 59s in Autobahn C and 2m 29s in Fukushima C (atm only in Filefront, I am still uploading to YouTube), all with 911 Turbo. In Autobahn C I am 0.5s faster with Lambo LP640.

Now it's really up to you! :S

And speaking of Bugatti, you can't tune it, so it is not that good really

The bughatti is faster than most things tuned as stock. So it's brilliant.

OK, about my new viper. I've made my own blueprint, added a stage 2 turbo, and it goes BLOODY fast. The control, on the other hand, isn't as great as I had hoped. I mean, I can keep it on the road, but to do that I need to sacrifica up to 60km/h for each turn, and THEN lose another 60km/h during the turn.

However, the tyres and suspension are both stock, and the drivetrain is only stage 1.I could pour a lot of money into it, but I don't know if it's the right thing to do...

7 (yes, 7) people have voted for the R34. I know that it's cheap and easy to control, but if you i REALLY had to sell the Viper, why not go for the R35???

Oh, and I can't get the Veyron because I've got Prostreet on PS2
