Turning off all assists doesn't really turn off all assists

Post by Planet2Side »

I've turned off abs, tcs, esc and set assist level to king but I noticed when slamming the brakes at high speed the wheels dont lock like they should until the car is almost at a standstill.

Whats strange, is when you're going around the track the wrong way slamming the brakes does lock the wheels almost instantly and it seems the handling is generally abit more realistic, almost forza like and leads me to believe this is what it should be like with all assists off.

Anyone else find this to be so? I've tried reinstalling the game, and tried both 1.0 & 1.1 versions of the game so I think this is just the way it is...

Being an arcade game and not a simulation, it's nothing to be surprised about. It's propably so to make it possible to play the game with non-analog controllers (ie. keyboard) where it is impossible to give the cars just a little brake (buttons being on/off).

People with analog controllers or pedals, are a minority after all, on PC even more so.

Don't play NFS if you're looking for simulation.
