well i just downloaded shop spezial and then i had to figure out in german (dont speak it) that i had to download save editor to Fix ChkSum. I did that and i all the cars were there but my bmw was screwed up?

Sorry for bringing up an old topic, but this happened again a couple of days ago with an Mercedes SLR. I was actually able to drive it in a drag but I totaled my car and it went back to normal???

sounds like your game's gaving problems with memory. have you checked your virtual memory settings?

I had the same problem, (I had only the wheels left

) and it did drive. It was because Installed cars that might make the game to crash. (big trucks and cars that are not on the normal list.) try to get the original car back or sell this one and start all over.

Btw it also happened to the M3 when I got the IS300 from one of the BL racers, but cause it wasn't installed in the savegame maker the game screwed up pretty bad (I made a complete new game with a a program and there was not option for a IS300 as starter car. and when I won the IS300 I got a stripped M3... wich made the game crash!)

Well the problem actually corrected itself on its own which kinda confused me even more. And the reason i didnt editwas because I didn't know it would bring the topic back up so I figured it would stay in Feb.

like i said, check your VM settings. it seems to me that the game's loading the textures and models, but then forgetting them.

My Computer (Right Click) -> Properties -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Advanced

look under Virtual Memory. a safe setting is 3 times the amount of RAM you have, if you have enough hard drive space to afford it. RAM can be found by Right-Clicking My Computer and selecting Properties.

RAM-512mb VM-766mb it's a year+ old pentium 4. For some reason my pc been runnling really slow, as in it takes up to 6-7 seconds just to open up the internet. I'm guessing thats probably why.

This seemed the most apt place for this.

I'm not sure if I'm having a nightmare, or if this really happened. Take a look at the screenshot below. Leisure Suit Larry is also a b*stard of a dirty racer - kept on driving into me deliberately, pushing me into the walls. Yet another reason to hate him!

EDIT - I was playing as "Demon" BTW, before anyone accuses me of creating LaPierre!
