EA: Please add sub-titles to next NFS game!
EA: Please add sub-titles to next NFS game!
I am an avid racing-game player (it helps with my real-world driving).
But, I'm hard-of-hearing, so it's difficult to understand the cut scene and in-game speech.
But I'm trying to get better at recognizing certain words (In fact, I've "deciphered" Josie Maran's disclaimer during game boot-up).
But trying to understand the cop speech is difficult as it replicates real-world cop communication. Garbled, lots of static, and the addition of police pursuit code (such as 10-4) make it even more difficult.
So, in a way, this makes the game much harder, as I have to dodge spike strips without knowing they're coming up...
Please, somebody, sign this here petition if you want a subtitle option. It would be nice to be able to toggle it on and off (for those who hear just fine). My True Crime: Streets of New York game has this feature and boy, does it help!
So, I sign my name:

If you're not English or you do not understand English and you have an English version, then there's no reason for EA to add subtitles and if that's true, try to get the game in your language.
The language in MW is very clear and easy to understand. My version doesn't have subtitles and it has never bothered me. As for the police codes, the volume for "speech" is higher than the music, car sounds, etc. so I can hear them better over the other sounds.

Come on people, subtitles would definitely help the hearing impaired, the profoundly deaf and those who don't speak any of the languages the audio was produced in.
What's more, I'm none of these yet I know I'd still turn subtitles on at least for a while to fully catch what's being said, if they were available.
Stop thinking only of yourselves and tell EA to LISTEN UP!!

I don't know why we have a discussion or even a POLL for this.
it has to be a option that is in the game already, so people like Focusfan can fully enjoy the game, just make it a on or off option and everybody is happy!
I know there will be alot of people who find it usefull!
And the comment that foreign people should buy it in their own language is simply STUPID!
there are alot of people who want it with the original sounds and orignal language cause it sounds authentic.
I am one of those people I always install the games in english for 1 simple reason that I want it in english cause it was the original language for the game (if it is US/CA/UK etc game)
I got the option to install it in several languages with sounds and text or only text.
In the dutch version the sounds are in english but the text is in dutch and the movies have subtitles, but sadly the translating is done probably by foreigners cause it was often filled with flaws! (atleas U1 was, that was the only game I installed in dutch)
And apart from that, I could not listen to american cops talking german or spanish to name a few.
so I think I know what to do... a mail to someone at EA
