This can't be!!!
Hi all
I have a hell problem. I have been having fun with hex-editing MW in a savegame. But when i checked my original savegame I was at the same possition when I was on #8 in the blacklist. But now I'm in the same possition! I'm #8 and I have the same bouty/cash when I was #8! How this can be? Is there a way to back?

OK, heres the thing.
I was #3 on the blacklist. I did a copy of that savegame for fun. I hex-edited the copy. Then got bored and started to play my savegame. But when I loaded the game, I was #8. I have the same money, the same bounty, same cars when I was #8. It's someting like a restore to #8.
So can I get back to #3?

There is no possible way the savegame went back in time like you say it did. I think you allredy had a backedup copy, and when you tryed to copy again the #3 file, Windows asked "Overwrite?", and you cliked "NO".

Did the word backup pass through your head when you tried Hex editing?
Obviously not...

I'm guessing, without some clear information, that you loaded your backup file and it autosaved over the original file. But thats just a guess. I'm thinking the folder names might have been different, but the actual save file names were still the same. Doesn't really make much sense, but thats about all I can figure...
