Re: no rain effect!
Stop superbing your 9250. I actually think you can turn everything on, but your graphics cards doesn't even display it, like you said yourself.reputated wrote:hey everyone i have just baught a new ati radeon 9250 128 mb 64 bit gpu for my computer its a p4 1.90 mhz, 256 ram and 40 gb hard drive i can run nfs mw and u2 at all settings and get SUPERB FPS but i cant see the rain effect in both games and shadow detail too in mw can anyone tell my about the cause ? thanx
Nothing you can do about it.
Re: no rain effect!
i am sad for you that i cant show u how well every game runs at full settings and it shows them too but in u2 and mw the rain effect and shadow detail is just not 'available' in the gfx settingsPSZeTa wrote:Stop superbing your 9250. Your card can probably only run the available effects (which there are probably very little) at full setting at 1024x768 with a frame rate of 15-20. I'd like to see a an unedited screenshot from your computer of Most Wanted comapred to someone with a high-end computer. The bottom line is your computer is not a gaming computer for today's games, and you shouldn't expect great detail.
And here's another quote:GT3x24x7 wrote:Yes. That's because your card doesn't support those effects. Did you actually read any of the posts people made in here?
This was from an article back in November 2004. Things have changed for the better since then so any miraculous expectations you may even dreamed of should have also been left 2 years ago. When evaluated in the proper context, the ATi Radeon 9250 is a decent video card. What consumers need to do is seriously consider what they are looking for in a video card. If playing graphically intense games is their main goal, the 9250 is obviously not for them. However, if improving their 2D desktop environment, whether it is for DVD's, photo editing or other applications, the 9250 will perform the task wonderfully. This is not to say that this card will not handle some of the newer games on the market, you just may have to turn down some of the eye-candy to achieve playable framerates.
Re: no rain effect!
Upgrade your video card and MEMORY/RAM. 256MB is below MW's requirements. I don't think you have SUPERB FPS in those games, max quality. Its impossible. You probably think that because you used to have some old radeon 8500 or GeForce MX440... Seriously. I have 1.7GHz Athlon XP with a Radeon 9600XT, and I only get around 25-30 FPS in MW and U2...reputated wrote:hey everyone i have just baught a new ati radeon 9250 128 mb 64 bit gpu for my computer its a p4 1.90 mhz, 256 ram and 40 gb hard drive i can run nfs mw and u2 at all settings and get SUPERB FPS but i cant see the rain effect in both games and shadow detail too in mw can anyone tell my about the cause ? thanx
