How To Disable Motion Blur in NFSMW

Hey folks,
Just found a way for disabling the motion blur feature in NFSMW for those who dont like it, and for those who are looking for a few more FPS in the game, so lets go with the steps:
1- Click "Start".
2- Click on "Run"
3- Type "Regedit" -
without the " "
4- Browse untill you get that address:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Games\Need for Speed Most Wanted"
5- you will find "g_MotionBlurEnable"
6- Right click on it, press Modify, and change the value data from 1 to 0.
7- Click "Ok" and exit.
Play the game without Motion Blur
Registry files note: DONT mess up with your registry files, just do the steps mentioned above, if you want to get motion blur back, do the same steps with reversing step 6 to "1" again instead of "0"
EDIT: Further to this, it's a GREAT idea to set a System Restore point before you make any registry changes. There's also a menu item in regedit that allows you to make a backup of the entire registry. Be careful. - GT

Skyline man. Post a disclaimer about messing in the registry. If someone screws up their copy of the game it shouldnt be your fault.

I guess this is off-topic but, is there a way to disable catch up for the career mode?? this would be so frigin sexy

Oh no, not sexy, but ideal
. I'm already working with some memory scanners, but seems it's not so easy. And I'm not very good on theese matters
Though, if someone found a way to build a trainer which toogles "never busted" mode, I don't see why this would be impossible.

16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\system32\regedit.com
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for runningMS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
WTF does all that mean?

It means you're trying to run the wrong thing. It should be c:\windows\regedit.exe (just type 'regedit' in the start menus run-section).

I did, and that's what came up.

Ok, I got it, but another way is to just copy/paste c:\windows\regedit.exe into the address bar.

When the other AI players fall WAY behind, they gain crazy amounts of speed to catch up with you... it also slows them down you you are behind.

What about other features not accessable in the menus? Can those be disabled in a similar way?

Just 2 questions before I attempt this...does it completely remove it or is it more subtle like when you turn off "Visual Treatment" and us there any noticeable improvement in performance?

You can reverse the change anytime. There is a noticable visual improvement with the blur off.

How so? Do you mean like, it's easier to see? Or more graphics detail?
