Post by hardvibes03 »

I've seen so many times during the game cars with bizarre colours
they're not pearlscent (the ones we can use to customize our own cars)

where the heck they come from????New 2 tone paints???How to get them??

Pearl paint

The colors of these paints will change greatly if you rotate the car. That is probably why you are not seeing the same ones when you apply them.

Hmm, about that Subaru in the 2nd attachment, I think I've seen that paint in NFSU1 before, and it's under the pearlscent category... So I'm pretty sure the 2nd WRX is a pearlscent paint. :P

when you take the Metallic paint, the colours at the right bottom are a bit paerlscent

here is a pic so you can see which I mean. :)

btw, this is not my car, it's from "Vizo"

IMO pearlscent paint changes according to the intensity/direction of light falling on it. This difference is very slight and hard to reproduce. As the game engine isnt very advanced, the colour effect would be even harder to reproduce. Iit could just be slightly random, a "glitch" (obviously not in its true meaning) if wanna call it.

Id look more at Red pearl paints for this effect, there are some maroon or dark red colours, which might show this style of highlight.

I think that's kinda obvious, so I think he knows about the body vinyl. But really, look closely. It's actually not black.

That's because the base paint is metallic orange, it affects the color of the vinyls. Metallicand pearlescent colors dictate the color of the vinyls being applied.

Well orange is of course in UG2. But you can't get that kinda brightness unless you enhance the color in an image editing software, of course...
