i dont know why but when i download it,the site stop me from downloading that file about 10000 times,and after 2hours,i've got it(i use flash get),but that video is really crazy,the guy in the video drift with a mazda RX7 and the final score is......over 600000 WTF????? and that may be the longest drift ever (about 300sec) lol

Well I'm not going to download the video but if 600,000 is the best the guy does then that's not very impressive. I can and have done 700,000-800,000 before.... in a FORD FOCUS....

You don't really need TJ's to do it.... I drift the using the handbrake and stuff. Some argue that that's not how you really drift and whatnot, but they are just f*in stupid. It's a game, and thats the best way to drift in the game... I know how to drift in real life and using the handbrake wouldn't help. But this is a game.

Actually Sp3aK, you can drift using the handbrake. I was watching a drift "how-to" video with the drift king Tsuchiya, and one of the drifting methods he shows is with the e-brake. He also says that if you generate too much understeer, using the e-brake will help get your car more sideways. It's just not how most of the pros do it, but that's how it's usually done by amateurs like myself.

@Mav: I wasn't saying that you can't in real life, because you can. But real drifters hardly ever use it... It's more abuot feeling the turns and using the gas/brake.

I second that, I normally get 600k total too, but my bet is not chained though.
The key? Car control once you start to know the track all becomes routine, I do very little screw ups myself, it happens I overdrift and spin out but that is very rare.
Proper usage of the gearbox is the key to success.

the only way u can get that many drift points is by using a cheat. i didn't see the video, so probably i'm wrong... if its like more than 4 laps, then maybe that score is possible...

this is off subject, but since i'm new here i need 2 ask it. where do u go for races on this site? not competition, but single races, u know...

you go to ONLINE mode in NFSU.... There is no "races" here.

Anyways, there is no way to get 600,000 in 1 lap, that's impossible. But it would only take maybe 4 or 5 laps if you do it the right way. Someone on the side did like 1,500,000+ single/chained drift on Track 6, took them all 10 laps but still, I've yet to see that be beaten. As soon as I get my computer back I'm going to do a video of a 700,000-800,000 or more if I can and show everyone that it IS possible.

I've witness wum one play this on ps2 and did one drift on 10 laps, don't remeber which track but he went 600, 000 and sumthin and he improves rapidly, i'm not use to nfsu on the ps2 so it feels weird to to drift on itt.

Back on topic, I can't drift at pro level but I'm ok, I'll do a 10 lap drift on track 6 and see what i can score, who else wanna try it out, just tell me ok, so we can kinda make it a challenge.

im trying to do a 3 mil single on t6 10 laps at least to prove everybody as well that it is possible

cause i did a 3.2 mil but its going to be hard to do 3.2 when recording.

I won't be recording, I'l just take a screenshot of the stats screen at the end of the race, but even 2mill is outta my league, I'll trymy best though, i don't think i can do it on 1 drift though, i have to hit the wall or slow down i just can't link 1 drift on 10 laps, but i should be able to atleast score 600,000 i think, wish me luck, I'll post a stat screen shot 2morrow.
