doesn't a game go platinum when it has sold a million copies or something?SharkPower wrote:Hi, can anybody tell me something about this. why will it be a platinum version?? have they change something from the original game. Or will the game just be cheaper

I said Platinum is the final version because GOLD is the first release version. That's my logic, and from reading examples of games gone Platinum (just now, Newer Winter nights went platinum and include all missions, all add-ons and so on). So 1 million copies idea doesn't make sense, as it doesn't take long for a game like NFSU to be sold in 1 million.
In fact, Matrix, the game, was pre-sold by 4 million copies before it went out. The 'metal' status of the game refers to its development stage, not the number of sales, as far as I know. Probably it's different for Music CD's.

dude did you know "platinum" is refering to the x-box? The PS2 has "Greatest Hits" and the GC has "Player Choice" or sumthing like that. yea it went "platinum because it sold alot of coppies I dont really know the number specifically. But yea Platinum if refering to the X-box. I just wanted to clear that up.
