It is about NFSU and another way to fix it. Let me tell you again(this time more easyer way). You delete NFSU Completely. then download the NFSU demo (found on this site)and install it on your PC. then install the the comple NFSU game and then your done.

Why install the NFSU demo? If you uninstall the game, and then reinstall you get the same result. The demo has nothing to do with it..LOL

Indeed it seems more easie to just reinstall the game...and your save games you can backup from the all user folder in documents and settings

Here's what was happening. NFSU was crashing to the desktop. I tried everything to get it to work...even a full re-install...It just wouldn't run...
So I downloaded the Demo and installed it and the Demo worked OK.
Then I did a full re-install from the disk and the game runs great without crashing to the desktop and all my profiles are still there !! I think the demo changes some hardware settings like the video or audio but what-ever it changed on the system...The Fulll version is now working after 2 months of
sitting unused !!!! YEEEEEE HAAAAAAA :D :D :D :D

But surely you will never play NFSU1 again after NFSU2 comes out? I know I won't. NFSU1 will be deleted to free up much needed disk space.

Why the hell would the demo change things? It has nothing to do with the full version.
