Tips on NFSU?

Post by hondaforever »

I seem to be having trouble with level 84 (knockout on Market Street Reverse to win the Lev. 3 Side Skirts). Up to now, I could beat any race in hard mode. However, in this race I get knocked out on the second lap! Are there any good shortcuts or tips anybody knows?

What I do in these tough races is...
I try to get ahead at the begining and if they get near passing me I look back and get in their way, I push them into posts, whatever... but if you can keep them behind you there should be no problem, also, if you don't, use your break before taking hard turns so that you don't crash with the wall and get passed.

That's the only way to win the late long circuit races (6 and 7 laps). And imagine that you do a mistake in the 7th lap which costs you the lead...

And don't be afraid to push opponents into obstacles. It's necessery if you want to stay in the lead.

Here is the greatest tip you'll ever get... screw the skyline!!! If you really love it then go the hard way and keep it, but in order to become better driver i wud recommend you to use 206 it would give you so much betta stability so you would not crash so much, trust me try it few races so you can adjust ot it and we can talk again ;)

Skyline is nice, but certainly not the best and it can really be competition for the rest of the cars if its in a good driver's hands (no offense to your driving skills)

thats how i learned to drive on nfsu really i used to skyline before but didnt realise how much faster 206 can be, but dont get me wrong skyline and cars like rx-7 can be amazing but 206 lets you understand the game ;)

The skyline is nice but I really hate using cars everyone uses, so I beat the game with the lancer first, today I finished a 2nd profile but this time with the Acura RSX and I think it makes nice turns, anyway, 95 and 103 are really hard but I just kept pushing them until I won lol.

For those who dont know, you can purge some nos before the race starts to get 150 Style points, just tap your nitrous once during the count down and smoke comes out of the sides of your engine, then you'll get the 150 style points but only once, so dont waste more nos :)

At first I use the 206 till level 82..... then I changed it to skyline...
Not to say that skyline is not good, but 206 really handles better.....
Well, I am gonna stick with the skyline anyway..... (cause in drag race it's really fun with skyline... much faster)
Just gotta get used with skyline... (my favourite car)

Anyway, does anyone know how to change the paint...??
I mean some paints have a lock on them & I couldn't use them...
What could I do.....??

If you unlocked level 2 and 3 paints , at first there should be some locks on top of them but you would be able to see them behind them, you just have to click on any of the locked colors and it will buy them, then you will be able to use them.

I like the SKyline, but I like the fact that you can beat it with something like an 350z or s2000. I still love the fact that peeps go Online to drag with the skyling and I leave for dead at the line with an 350z... Or even a supra...

Everybody takes the Skyline, I myself like the Impreza or the Sentra. The Sentra aint that fast but handles great for me... Although that might be because I am using a steering wheel to play the game. That certainly helps when cornering. I can't help noticing a lot of players online play with a gamepad, and I certainly have an edge with a steering wheel in cornering...

I also used a Modern 2 color vinyl, and level 3 MOMO racing rims. The hood is a formula style, but I am not sure of the spoiler... I look at it when I go home tonight
