[NFS Undercover] Steering not working properly

Post by taquin »

I've been using my PS2 - USB adapter for all the Need for Speed games in the series. It allows me to use a Playstation controller on my PC. With this new game however, my driving experience is not fun at all as the car never centers, it keep drifting to the left or to the right. without even touchin the directional control.
I tried reinstallin the drivers for the ps2-usb adapter,
i tried recalibrating the pad,
i tried takin off the rumble feature in the game,
i tried resetting the buttons, changing it about for the various controls (accel, brake, etc.) nothing works.
I have all the latest drivers for my OS (winxp pro service pack 3) and latest vid card drivers.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as i cannot fully enjoy the experience of playin NFS Undercover.

This would be easily fixed by setting a deadzone in the controller calibration but sadly, Directx on WinXP doesn't support deadzones.

Despite this, the DXTweak2 tool can give you better control over your controllers and might help somewhat. Find it at http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_software/gadgets.htm
