so i dominated everything, and after 3rd showdown i get challenged by ryo... game loads, i get to next screen and game crashes with critical error...

ok... i go back, click continue career... critical error!
thats first problem i had with game, and no idea what caused it, but cant continue now
anyone got that problem? anyone has some experience in fixing it?

dont want to start over again:(

edit: cant even start new career or go to race day! the moment i click race day or new career/continue career it crashes to windows!

when i go race day:

Have you tried re-installing? Some file may have become corrupt somehow.

yea, reinstalled once, didnt help
got new gfx drivers, didnt help

just have no idea how is that possible cause i played for 2-3 days and completed 40% of game without a problem:P

edit: anyone know if there is some savegame fixer for prostreet?

I got the same problem. I had beaten two kings (drag and drift), and I was ready to challenge Ryo. I'm just really annoyed, I can't play the game now, even though I reinstalled the game and updated my drivers!

Please, someone find the solution to this!

UPDATE:
After all it was not the cheats that caused the problem..
There is a limit on how many cars you can have.
I had 35 and when i defeated kings game crashed.
After selling 2-3 cars everything was ok..
None of the cars i sold were bonus..So there must be a limit of max 35 cars in a carreer..

The one reason I know of that could cause a game crash after defeating a King is having too many cars in your garage. Now, while the savegame structure has a physical limit of 81 cars, the game itself seems to only be able to handle 16 (I think) bonus cars in one savegame. Any more than that, and it crashes. Since the King cars count as bonus cars, if you already have the game max before you defeat the King, your game will crash every time you defeat the King.

i don't have it on PC, but is it a corrupted file?

ive just completed the showdown 2 and when i try to play the challenge autobahn the game just crashes!! im stuck cause without the completing the challenge how am i goin to proceed after all this fun n hard work ...i wan to proceed ,,,can any 1 pls help ...

if you use any trainers delete them reinstal your game and the only cheats you can use is unlockallthings and trainer +14 that should help andstop the crash and scan your computer for virusses to that might be the problem to
