[NFSPS] origional cd problem??

Post by td0g21 »

My game is being strange. I installed it once while searching for stuff on the net and listening to music. after that I try playing it and I get this message:

"Please insert the origional disc instead of the backup (1000)."

so I try restarting and see if that works. no go. so I uninstall and reinstall this time just letting it sit and shutting off my anti-spyware program. still the same message.

any help?

and yes i have the right cd in....and its not a backup.

1. Open the Device Manager.
2. Double-click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers to display the list of controllers and channels.
3. Right-click the icon for the channel to which your CD/DVD drive is connected, select Properties, and then click the Advanced Settings tab.
4. In the Current Transfer Mode drop-down box, select "DMA if Available" if the current setting is "PIO Only." If the drop-down box already shows "DMA if Available" but the current transfer mode is PIO, then you must toggle the settings. That is:
Change the selection from "DMA if available" to PIO only, and click OK.
5.Then repeat the steps above to change the selection to DMA if available.
