top speed limiter on pro street

anyone else have the problem with the top speed limiter only letting your car go to 251?
and does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Yes, and no, it's hardcoded into the game. (Probably due to the fact that you could get to 330 mph in carbon.

I dunno but I once went 287 in a Carrera GT, no cheats, just drafter crew member and N2O.

If you have the PC version, a hack was made to disable the top speed limiter. It can be found here.

man, i just tried those hacks you told me about, they screwed up my career, it wont load them anymore

The hack made no changes to the savegame files at all. If uninstalling the hack doesn't work, then you did something wrong and I'm sorry that you lost your career.
