Help!NFSPS loading problems under WinXP

When I open my last saved game, which I was playing the Super Promotion Autobahn race day, but when I just reached the race day menu,every thing halted,and a window poped out and said"nfs.exe has a problem and must be closed".
It always F*****ly like this, and I've even tried to uninstall and re-install, but the game still behaves like that !
Does anyone knows why and how can get rid on it?
