Can't load any savegame!

Hi!

I need help with my Carbon for PC! I can't load any savegame. When it says Game/Save Loaded it just closes and says en error has occoured. I have every CD-Key fix for my cd-key, but nothing works. I have even tried No-DVD patches with no help!!! I can start new game, the save. When I try to load it just closes. I have tried uninstalling the game too. Do you think patch 1.3 will fix this?

I have this problem, if your videos dont show at the beginning then you may need to install the game, If the disc when inserted dosnt have aplay option then click install. It fixed mine.

Every video shows, plays, and everything is fine. The save option is fine too, I can start carrer, but when I need to load savegame it close and says error with nfsc.exe, and sometimes it just closes.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the game? The game does indeed crash a lot and sometimes saved games get corrupted.

All U can do I think is to reinstall the game as vellu said or check again Ur savegame.U possible messed up some hex codes.

If re-installing didn't work, it could be your copy of NFSC that's the problem.

Did you try patching?

I patched it to ver 1.3 and still the problem persists :\

Me too. I guess it's something with the copy. But it installs fine, without errors.

Of course it's not. That's why you have to run it in compatibility mode. And it works fine. Finnaly, I can finish the damn career.

Well, since I had one free partition, I gave Vista a go to try out. I'm happy that it worked

I noticed identical problem while I was playing Carbon. I think the problem is in corrupted savegame that couldn't be recovered. I suggest you to find a new savegame here http://www.needforspeedsavegames.com . They have all savegames from the game beginning. Also they have a lot of savegames, trainers, cheats, cars, screenshots and soundtrack informations for Need For Speed Carbon, Most Wanted, Underground 2, Underground and Hot Persuit 2.

Well lucky... It's an interesting thing, because the performance of the game is cut to almost half of the performance in XP, so the gameplay experience is a bit less enjoyable... I'd say that it's because of my gfx card... 6600GT. I just hope EA does something with the gameplay and crashing issue anyway. Yet i still don't understand, why does the corruption of savegames occur anyway... And why only some certain users and not all of them...

OK, one little udate: I've just tested it on windows XP x64 and i must say I got SMOKING results! The game flows just like hot butter through a knife (:)) And it does _NOT_ corrupt any savegames. You just gotta love it
