Need For Speed Carbon Problem.......

hi, I recently installed Need For Speed Carbon. I had no problems installing it, worked well. I opened the game. The sound is all good, but the screen is all shoddy. The cars are all black. I cant see any writing . Any ideas??? I would love to play this game..........

I have Need For Speed 5 - Porsche Unleashed
Need For Speed Underground
Need For Speed Underground 2
Need For Speed Most Wanted all working perfectly but not this game, its really annoying me :(

I am using a NVidia Geforce 4 MX 4000 Video Card with drivers 93.81,
a SoundMAx Digital Audio Card,
Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600),
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHz (2 CPUs)
512MB Ram
and Direct X 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)


what is the problem, wrong graphics card, no ram, Please Help I really want to play ths game.

I believe its your gfx card. From what I heard, NFSC isnt compatible with older model GFX cards.

I'm 98% sure the NFSC system requirements specifically list the MX series of video cards to be incompatible.

That's ur gfx card, I had the same problem back when I had integrated graphics and tried to run Most Wanted. Boy... those pics sure take me back... back to when my computer sucked. (No Offence)

You should get a cheap GFX card off newegg.com or something.

EDIT: Your not missing out on anything though, :?

XD i'm suprised you said that because i'm on intergrated gfx (ATi Radeon Xpress series) and it shows the full 3Ds (not at full of course)

ok thanks, any ideas what card i should get??? and what price roughly.

Also I have no problems with most wanted. runs like a dream

7600gt or higher, affordable.. decent performance
no idea about ATI equivalent.. not an ATI person :>

I had a geforce 4 mx 440 ..upgraded to ati radeon 9600 pro..best computer related decision I made..about 40-50 quid.
