Help with Carbon online

I am trying to play carbon online on a ranked game but its says i need friends .

I havent got 1.3 patch because it doesnt want to install so any ideas on how to get Online working and also how do i install the patch (uk Standard Patch)

FIRST of all, after u install the game DONT PUT ANY NOCD CRACKS and those types of things. Secondly, download the patch according to your region (language). If you have the Collectors Edition download the UK patch, and if you have the North American version the NA. Double click the patch file, and WAIT, DONT CLOSE THE WINDOW. After the window close ITSELF, run the game

How can i recognise what kind of nfs have I? UK or other?

I have the US Collector's edition but i cant find any US Collector's edition patch! it only downloads the UK one
