Can My Computer Run NFS-CARBON?

Post by foote »

Hi. I am thinking about purchasing need for speed carbon For PC. I want to play it online, multiplayer. So, i have a few questions.

1. Can my computer run the game w/o lag online with others racing along side me.

Specs: 1.24GB of RAM, Intel Pentium 4 Processor (2.80 GHz), 64 MB Graphics card. On a Cable connection.

2. Are there many players online to play with?

3. Are the cheats working online? Or are there hackers? I want fair play...

thanks :)

Do you know the exact model of the graphics card you have? Other than that, by the sound of it your computer seems like it would be able to run NFSC.

I don't know anything about online play for NFSC, as I have it for the Wii which doesn't offer the online feature.

Well you could for example use SiSoft Sandra.
It's free to download.

I say...all these "does my computer run this game" threads should be banned. There's this site called System Requirements Lab right here:
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

This site will tell you in-depth if your computer will handle the game at minimum and recommended requirements...

Man I could have used that for my windows product key... BEFORE I bough home premium.

Buy a graphics card and it should run great! Might i suggest this, great card for the price.

128 MB card is the "recommended" for carbon, but i'd personally go with a 256MB if you want to turn your graphics to the max.
AMD Athlon x2 3600+
Asus M2N-E SLI
2 GB DDR2
BFG 8800GTOC
320 GB/500 GB HDD

Heres a hint, if someone wants to know if their computer can run the game, download the demo. Since most games have demos, thats what I used to do.

That was quite helpful to me as well, I figured out that I need 8 GB of space for TDU while I only have 6.7 GB left on my main drive. Guess I'll be deleting lots of stuff over the next couple days :)

Why don't you just buy a new one? They are pretty cheap right now.

Well, for the time being I'm just sticking with this one, but in the near future we'll be purchasing a 250 GB drive for a safe backup and more space. I deleted some stuff and useless programs so I have about 7.2 GB, and I think my dad is going to expand the main drive to take over some of the other drives so that there's about 10 GB on the main.

No DVD Drive? Maybe that's true. Check the disc slots of your PC and see if any of them say "DVD-ROM" on them. If it doesn't say that, it probably says something like "Compact Disc Rewritable" or another variation.

why do people tell you to download crap that might be spyware or a virus. just do this.

start->run; then in the box type DxDiag. then at the bottom right click "Save All Information" and viola. all the info on your computer is right there in a handy little text file. peace of cake.

With your Set-up forget it dude.....You will get really outdated graphics and choppy motion....And don not even think about Upgrading your PC.

Buy yourself a Proper XBOX360//Nintendo Wii and the game........
