i recently had to hyper clean out my old HDD that has Carbon on it but in the process while moving my 19" CRT monitor, i dropped it dead on my CD. So right before i did cleaned my HDD out, i copied the entire Carbon root folder to my other unused HDD.
After putting Carbon back on the main HDD, i tried playing it and now a D3X9 type of error pops up. since i play other games that require DX9 like GTA san andreas, DX9 shouldnt be a problem right?
Please help me

do you have the latest DX9? you need a specific DX for nfs, after june 06 or something... it has some other files which previous DX did not have
get @ http://www.guru3d.com (or M$ of course)
you dont need reg keys to run the game, you might need them to be able to load your profile though...
