first off what are trainers and how does one get or use these. and can they be used on the PS2

1) We can't say how to get them on here, and no they don't work in the PS2. Google is your friend though, if you want to find them for the PC.
2) A good graphics card right now, in general is the nVidia 8800 series and the ATi HD2900 series. Average graphics cards right now are the nVidia 8600 and the ATi HD2600.
Also, for slightly better performance than the 8600/hd2600 you can get a previous-generation nVidia 7900/7950 or ATi x1950, at the cost of future compatability. They are still good cards though.
