NFSC Problem

Ok first off hello, and my problem is that i install Carbon and the i try to play it and it says NFSC.exe has stopped working. and it will never start up. I have Windows Vista 32 bit, a Core 2 quad, 3 gigs of ram, 640 GB HD, and a ATI Radeon HD2600XT card once i tried upgrading my graphics card driver and it wored BUT it would freeze up and i would have to restart my computer can someone please help me? I have a need for speed that has to be satisfied, and fast!
