Texture troubles

Post by ImPaKt »

I'm using MWTex for NFS MW and i followed the vinyl guide that comes with it. I'm having problems as my vinyls show up as full white when i view them in game.

Any ideas?

Ok, I don;t think this has ever been stated before, and I'm actually surprised that it hasn't. If you are trying to make a vunyl that can be colored, you need to make your vinyl green. If you have a secondary color on your vinyl, make that part of the vinyl blue. Then make a black background and save. To make a mask, just make your vinyl all white with a black background.

I'm not actually sure, that was just a guess, but I do know it's green and blue. :P

In Photoshop or whatever...
1st: Blue
2nd: Green
3rd: Red (only present in NFSU/U2)

If you are previewing it with BinTex, the 1st and the 3rd will be swapped around (Don't let this confuse you.)

You can't edit .dds files very well, and with .psd files, you still have al the layers and everything.
