Anyone Know Of Anything Better than Windows Movie Maker?

Please help people, i have made movies on windows movie maker! After all the time spent, windows movie makers format isnt recognised by most sites and that i cant send it to my friends of put anything on disks! Does anyone know how to change formats/know of a site that uploads windows movie maker/ or knows a free program kinda like it but has a different format recognised by more sites! Possible youtube!/ Thanks people, your a bomb!

Let me guess, when you save your movies, you click 'Save Project...'. That saves the file as a Windows Movie Maker file which is used to edit the file later in Movie Maker. What you need to do is go to 'Save Movie File...'. From there you'll be asked how you want to save the file.

virtualdubmod is fairly easy to use and has a good amout of plugs,fx and is free ,small download size:)

dubmod has a few more filters[plugins]

WAX ,is pretty cool too,a little more technical,you can overlay vids and choosing ROTOSCOPE filter,you can paint on each frame,or erase without saving each individual frame to bmp and porting to your graphics editing app ,eg the gimp,photoshop.You can also put basic.3ds 3d meshes in your scene.

Jahshaka is fairly indepth too

all 3/4 are free,I find I use VIRTUALDUBMOD the most,dub and wax are quite small downloads while Jahshaka is around 20mb[bit of a mission 4 some1 like myself still on dialup]
