Every time I'm entering the game, the controls resets to default. Can someone please me please?

Games usually have config files where the controls are saved. Something like "config.cfg".
I don't have UG2 myself atm, so I can't check for you, but you should try and locate if such a file exists with UG2.
If you find it, just adjust the settings the way you want them with notepad etc. and then make the file "read only".
That way the file can't be overwritten.

Or perhaps the config file is already "read only", which is why the changes you make in-game, aren't saved after you quit the game.

I did not find the the config file. Is it possible that this file could have another name?

Yes, which is why I said "something like config.cfg".
It might not even be a .cfg file.
It could also be, for example .ini, but it also could be something else.
Just look for small files in the game directory that could be the right one and open them with notepad.
