No more upgrades at NFSU

I got a little beginner-problem:

I pushed my underground-mode-car up to
level 27 or 28 so far, and received the normal
upgrades like I should.

In "normal" mode, I train the tracks and get
a lot style-points in drift-races.

So far, if I get style-points, the graphic-bard fills
up till the end and when it's over the edge and begins new,
I received an upgrade. That's correct, for the first levels.

NOW, the graphic-bar is at the end, I receive more and more
style-points with any possible "normal"-mode, BUT I don't get
any more bonus-items ! No vinyls, tuning-parts or else !
The graphic-bar keeps full, but doesn't restart from front.

What happened ? Do I have to win the next level in
underground-mode before getting higher ?

Can somebody tell me, what's wrong or what I can do,
to continue the game ?

OK, so I have to try to win that
f.....ng drag-race !

I hate the drags ! Cars and driver
should be fast on more than this
stupid 1/4-mile !
