USB controller problem causing sluggish video

I have just upgraded my motherboard,cpu and ram and now when my guillemont thrust master dual power 3 gamepad is plugged in the usb port it causes the framerate to drop to about 1 frame per sec...on the intro movies ..options screens and in game.

If i pull it out and restart NFSU its runs sweet.

I have all latest drivers etc.

It ran fine with my previous setup..i now have

Asus p4p800-e deluxe m/b
ATI radeon 256 9800xt
p4 3.0gig
1 gig ram
win xp pro sp2

With that PC it isn't a big problem anyway I really don't know what you should do

not sure if i've misinterpreted what you mean but NFSU running at 1 fps is a pretty big problem in my book!
