Don't quite get your error, it's quite unclear what's the problem you're having... Can you elaborate more?

I think you just need to calibrate the gamepad.
Open up the software for it and you should be able to make adjustments.

I think in the game you have an OPTION for it... Just go to OPTIONS > CONTROLLERS. That's what I usually do.
