NFS7 won't install!

So I decided to install my old good nfsu1 again, and... OMG it stucks @ 81%!!
Apparently the CD is scratched. Someone has played nfsu1 a lot! --->
/me...
Well,,, is there a human way to make the game run? I spent 50€ on it and I can't play!
I saw yesterday a cheap edition of the NFSU1 (a new edition with a crappier cover, like the PS2 platinum series but in PC) for 10€. It's cheap, but I would feel like an idiot buying the same game again...
Suggestions?
And... is there a software/hardware tool to fix a scratched CD?
or... what if I send the original CD to EA games? Would they send me a new one? (yes, it sounds a bit hilarious, but they should!)

I think your gonna have to buy a new copy, or download a copy.
Or isn't there a film you can buy for cd's that you stick on and it fills in the scratches, but there's no way EA would give you a new copy if the scratching wasn't their fault.
I recently reinstalled nfsu1 to play online mode again, but after I installed the latest patch which is now needed to play multiplayer, it just makes my computer crash

From EA's support:
Right-click on your desktop and choose New and then Folder.
Name the folder Disk Images.
Open the Disk Images folder.
Right-click in the folder and choose New and then Folder.
Name the folder Disk1.
Repeat step 4 to create another folder; name this folder Disk2.
Insert disk 1 into the drive; close all windows that may appear.
Open My Computer.
Right-click on the disk drive containing disk 1 and choose Open.
Click Edit at the top of the window and choose Select All.
Click Edit again and choose Copy.
Close the window.
Open the Disk Images folder.
Right-click on the Disk1 folder and choose Paste.
When the files finish copying, repeat steps 7-14 for disk 2, copying it into its respective folder.
When the copying is complete, remove all disks from any drives.
Open the Disk1 folder in Disk Images.
Double-click on the Autorun icon (this icon is the EA Logo).
After installation you will be asked to insert the correct CD; insert disk 2 to start the game.
You may delete the Disk Images folder once installation is complete.
Might work...

I say you should just buy the crappy one and put the disc in your original cover. Then you can throw away the crappy cover!
. What a scheme lol!

You can also just download the cd's and use your seriall code from the box, that always works for me.

It worked! Superracer rules!
NFSU1 graphics are wonderful btw... I like the aspect of the game better than the nfsu2 one.
