NFSPU Exits Windows without errors

Post by DrNFS »

Hello everybody,

I've just installed NFSPU but when trying to run, it exits windows without error messages.
Someone told me that installing 3.5 PATH problem should be solved, but it's the same.

After the intro and before showing the main menu, the game exits windows and I don't know what else can I do.

My PC Specs:
Windows ME
256MB RAM
PIII@728MHz
GeForce 256 Annihilator Pro (Drivers updated and DX9)

Thanks.
Bye!

Other then re-installing everything, I have no idea what could help with the problem. My NFSPU runs without problems, but my setup is very different from yours (winxp, 6600gt, amd xp 2400+).

Could be it's incompatible with your OS.

That's possible, ME (imo) was the crappiest in the Win9x series.

Thanks for your answers, but:

1 - I played this game several times in the same PC without problems, but now i've reinstalled and i can't play.

2 - Windows ME is a very bad OS in general, but in my opinion it's better for gaming than Windows XP or 2000. Same as Windows 98SE ;)

Better for gaming? You must be kidding... They (gfx companies) don't even make proper drivers for it anymore. And that's just for starters. Other then running a really slow computer I see no reason what so ever to favor 9x instead of 2k/xp.
