Need help with blurred text in NFSPU

Post by davidchao »

Hi,

I have managed to get NFSPU running under WinXP after trying out the steps listed on this site. However, the text display in the game is blurred to the point where it is hard to read. I had formerly fixed the problem on a Win98 system (with a Riva 128 card) by following the instructions in the ReadMe file attached with the game. It has to do with adjusting the texels origin. However, on my new system with a GeforceFX card, these settings can no longer be found.

Can anyone pls shed some light on this?

Thanks.

I have gf-fx also, and I found out yesterday that I had the same problem.
I don't think text is too important. (I can still read it)
Maybe there is no fixm since it is an "old" game. :?

I got NFS PU and NFS 4 running on 2 PC's one high performance pc with a AMD 64 3200 and ATI radeon 9800XT and the other a older pc (AMD duron 1000 with 64mb savage card)

and both games work perfect on both computers now.
(older comp has problems with nfs 4 cause of the amouth of high poly cars I added and updated tracks)

it took some work but I bet it will work

try to google to see what you have to do to get it running under xp.

and you will find a complete tutorial what to do.

good luck

I have tried looking on the web for a way to adjust the texel origin in Direct3D. It seems that the option will appear after clicking on the "More Direct3D options" button in the Graphics card config. However, I did not see that option in my config.

Has anyone with a GeforceFX card managed to see that anywhere in your settings? Pls let me know.

Thanks.

My driver does not have that options visible. The normal Nvidia one did, but this one is the MSI, and I cant find these options.

I have the lastest. ;)
Now, I solved it, with a simle solution (which is allways the best). Manually turn AA and AF up. 4x for each will do. :D
