Raster or Vector

Post by John T, Herder »

I've been making and editing vinyls for about a week and I was just
wondering if anyone knows which kind of image I should select when
I start out making my vinyl ? Raster or Vector . I've experimented
with both , and I was just wondering what everyone else uses .

personally, i would use raster. as i understand it, vector images can be resized without loss. but, you are gonna work at 512x512, not larger or smaller.

other opinions?

I use Vector to make artwork for vinyl, but have no idea why background can be important. I design vinyl in eiter Illustrator or Macromedia Flash and than just paste it into PSP and save as dds. It's much easier for me this way, and works well too, if you saw the end result.
