NFSU2 - Fastest Offline Circuit Times

Post by Bauke777 »

@All hotlappers: maybe it's too soon to start a post like this, but I could only find our original NFSU1 circuit laptimes post from GT3x24x7. I just unlocked all level 3 performance parts (got no unique parts), and I am curious what laptimes u guys r doing. The old post helped me to keep trying in shaving off those couple of tenths, b/c u can see how fast other ppl were.

Some simple rules, just like our previous post:
 OFFLINE laptimes only
 DO NOT use ANY nitro
 10 laps, no traffic

Well guess that's it. I only tried the 1st circuit, so I can't give you more laptimes yet. Here are my Freemont results: on level 2 (again no unique parts) I couldn't get it under 30 seconds. Now on level 3 I just clocked the fastest lap on 27.89, in a Supra. How much faster is possible, under 25 or even faster? And how about other tracks?? And if u post back, pls mention what car u used, which unique performance parts are installed (if u can remember  ), and do keep the imagesize of ur screendumps in mind.

(Oh, and yes, I've heard, the Corolla is the fastest... :? w/e...)

Too soon for a topic like this one? NO! :D

By the way, could you guys try to be as clean as possible, avoid wall contact, not using wall to gain time, etc etc etc?

We will see who's the best driver out there! 8)

Catch you Bauke, with my RX8! :P

EDIT : 27.56 with my RX8, could be improve.

By the way, I have a hotlap record on Boxcar, harbor track in 1.41.80, with the RX8, done offline. But no race result screenshot to prove, but I got the one from the race selection menu.

PS : Car used are from customization menu. There's no unique piece on it.

lol knocked off 3 hundreds of ur time: 27.53 8) in the Suprrrrrra

lol, don't even know what track that is, sounds like a lengthy track. I'll give it a try and see if I can get anywhere near ur time :?

Did u do any dyno tuning on ur RX8? I have yet to dynotune my car... but I'm afraid I don't understand much of it...

No I didn't. 'had just run the track and got that time once I knew how to master it.

And finally... Damn you! I'll have to rerun this one!

Personnaly, racing without NOS will show us who is the best and the fastest driver here. NOS will change all that, just showing us who is the guy that have done the fastest lap. It doesn't prove that he's good, but just prove he used the NOS at the right place. I could use NOS on my hotlap and be 1 to 2 seconds faster that I actually am. And with the NOS, a mistake is easy to repair. Without, if you do a mistake, your lap time's gonna drop a lot. There is no place for any mistake.

Show us the fastest, but the best driver on this forum!

Well yea, especially w/ the racebreaker swithed on, u could fire some nitro every lap. In our original NFSU1 post, guys in the movies (Skroting (I still can't believe his perfect lap in Atlantica 37.89  ), Jeff Reid, ...? Check the 'Show your Skills' section of UMP) raced without nitro too.

Of course, no one can check if anyone would cheat at home and post a hotlap w/ nitro, but think we just have to trust each other. Hope you (and lots of others) join too Stig, would be cool. That way we can compare our times, and encourage us to try harder to go faster and faster. The NFSU1-post even got me to work harder for a race, which makes it more fun to drive. I switched from automatic gearbox to manual, which took me weeks to master... Even switched from the easygoing birdseye cameraview to onboard-hood view. Like this I enjoyed racing NFSU a lot more than b/4... 8)

using Nitro at the same time is in my book a form of being a good racer... using it and hitting a wall cause of it ---> slowing you down again isn't

but he who am I.

I am willing to join if there is no damn wallhugging etc...

here's my two fastest time on the first track of circuit race. I didn't hit any walls, didn't use nos, no wall hugging, etc. just pure racing on the track. and I also didn't mess with tuning the cars. oh and also no unique parts

Ur fast Amadaeus!! Good to see u trying w/ 2 cars. Look at the Corolla time, where can I find a whole second in Freemont??? Heard a lot about the Corolla being the fastest... but u did a really good job w/ the celica as well. I've added a time in Providencia (2nd circuit), but that needs a lot of approvement. It will be shredded to pieces in no time...

Check out Zlia in the tuned Corolla, sick 8) ! Nice driving buddy, all clean laps/no wallhuggs?? Man, that's so much faster... Did some improvement on Providencia myself, but still fades compared to the nr 1 place: gap is about 3,5 secs. And I drove the light outta my eyes :( But I'll stay faithfull to my Supra (for now lol)
TheStig wrote:I am willing to join if there is no damn wallhugging etc...

yea, for me every lap is as clean as possible. No ramming the wall w/ 220 km/h to get a possible higher exit speed out of the corner. That does suck, but unfortunately we can't check if someone used that technique to go faster. What car will u be driving, 206 again?

From what I've tested, the 86 is MUCH more fast than other cars. That's a shame because the other cars are quite well balanced. That could explain the difference in lap times. Furthermore, I earned around 1.5 sec customising the car.

The car is the AE86, it has all level 3 upgrades, no nitro and no wall were used.

For the tunnig parts :

- increased front and rear downforce
- completely customised gearbox. Very sort shifts between 2nd gear and 5th gear (top speed in 2nd near 155 km/h)
- ECU remapped to give max power at high revs
- Turbo remapped to give max power at high revs
- Lowerd suspension a little

Here are my times :

If you don't like the Corolla, please give the Ford Focus a try, it worth it 8)

I've done a nice 38.37 with it on the Providencia circuit

w000t I loooove the Focus too, cuz it reminds me of my old car. I struggled w/ the Focus for a year in NFSU1 against all the RX7's, but it was too hard. The car drove like a brick, unfortunately. I started my NFSU2 profile w/ a Focus, but I choose to continue w/ the supra.

aah man, now u made me curious. I can't get the providencia under 40 w/ the Supra....

omg, look at this: 36.42 in providencia in the out-of-the-box-corolla (no tuning, just level 3 parts) just after a couple of tries... and I'm still LEARNING the car's behaviour! It looks like shyt, but the hatchi-roku is sooooo much faster.

Feels like a rendez-vous to NFSU1... feel kinda dissapointed, rumours were that the difference b/w the cars were going to be narrowed down in NFSU2, but I don't call a 4-second-gap "narrowing-it-down". Has anyone found an alternative for the ae86 that can actually compete w/ it, like the Integra for the RX7 in U1???

Still have to try the Focus on level 3 parts, but I have a feeling it can't get near the 86

Meaning dyno-tuned, performanced-tuned, where u go to the dyno/test-track to adjust settings on ur car. What would be a better description: "manually tuned" orso?

When nothing is mentioned behind the car that was used it (should) mean:

- level 3 performance parts
- no unique parts
- all performance parts have default settings (no individual settings are modified (no "dyno"-tuning))
