That looks incredibly dodgy to me...

one corner at start of drift and you land 9k.. hmm..

Anyone else feel the same?

Yeah, 16,000 points sounds a little dodgey I reckon. My best is 7,077 with a Dodge Viper. I've also run extremely close to the score aswell with a Mazda RX-7.
