NFSU1: Fastest Offline Circuit Times
hehe... it kinda roars out with the rear if you don't cuddle it through the turn. I find it extremely hard. Hate that part :p Spoils all of the track for me I guess one has limitations anyway. We all have tracks we prefer. OS fits me like a glove The others I have to adapt to.
EDIT: besides .. I need an overall improvement of almost 2 seconds on both tracks to beat you two. I wonder how the hell you did it lol. *whispers* new track?

Alright gents ... update time, I'm pushing for a solid second place at National Rail ^^ . So solid I already feel it tremble .. lol I'm starting to get the hang of that track. The dirt chikane, which bugged me for a long time is starting to look more like a domestic cat than a tiger. I've learned to brake 3 time: just upon entering it; before the first turn; before the second turn; and speeding inbetween. This allows me a pretty good control through it, although... it does slow me down. As a rule of thumb, when speeding away out of it on the black top once more, the farther you are from the chikane when you hit .25, the better. If you enter the fork leading down the tunnel before hitting .30, you're most likely to get a good time, 42.xx - 43.xx. The further you are down the fork, the better are the chances, though - as always - there's plenty of opportunity to firetruck up in the second major slowdown of this track: the tunnel. braking btw the last and 2nd last column in your line of sight, *should* slow you down enough to get through and switch lane shaving the columns coming on your left side. It's pretty tricky to have such an ending to a track, as what you have worked up during all the rest of the time can just magically disappear ... drowned by swearings ... 30 m before the finish line lol. Pretty sad.
Does anyone know why free run mode doesn't keep track of one's stats? All I can do is Leave Race ... how good is that? lol. I made my new record on fastest lap in free run .. I hope it gets accepted even if it isn't circuit time :p. The circuit time is for the 10 lap time's sake and for the fastest lap - in case the free run one won't be accepted.

baaah :p you keep looking at the overall time ... stability is an issue with reartraction cars on dirt :p I guess your 206 does way better because it keeps a high average speed and sticks to the ground like no other car. Hmmm ... maybe I should start the Control Career and see what a controlled miata would have to say about this track Else I might just make the informed decision and step down to the 206 as well ... just for this track ^^
Btw .. is it true all mazda players like OS? lol ... Didn't know

OMFG!! I've just discovered that I've been running all these circuits with STOCK TYRES!! This is my drift spec and I never changed it! Check it...
I really don't need the unique NOS either, seeing as I hardly ever use it. Might have to start e new profile and swap the NOS for maybe Turbo or Suspension - not sure which way to go...

EDIT: Ah - now I get ya - thought you were suggesting the pic was a fake or sth...
I've maxed my setup now, and the control is better - I've managed to drop my NR time to 42.95, but still can't touch you guys - yet. One thing tho - I think I've found a way to take the tunnel at full throttle, it's pretty hairy, and the chances of hitting that blasted drainpipe next the the start/finish line are greetly increased becuase of the higher exit speed.
I wonder if you guys might try it and give me your comments - take the right fork instead of the left, keep the throttle wide open and yank wheel left after the second pylon, switching to the left lane. Staying in that lane, drag the wheel back right to avoid the wall, and exit the tunnel on the left side... Done right, you can take it at full throttle. Miss it a little and a bit of lift off will get you through. Miss it badly and your time is shot to pieces!!
EDIT: An even faster route - take the right fork, steer left into the left lane after the second pylon, then switch back the the right lane after two more pylons. This seems a lot easier to manage at full throttle. Only prob is you exit the tunnel at top speed from the right lane. Man I'm getting pretty tired of that start/finish drainpipe!!

lol ... ye .. the tunnel is a killer... for me anyways. Specially when I'm excited because I reach half down the fork with barely 30 and am all joyous about a possible new time and then CRASH right into the center pillar ... Tricky track. If OS had too little that could go wrong ... this one has too much hehe.
Update on fastest lap on Stadium. Still way behind .. but getting there Regularity is still an issue though .. on both tracks.
PS: I just tryed your tip on NR with using the other fork. My first lap went down from the usual 50 to mere 48, meaning .. it's a VERY GOOD idea Seriously dude ... this is really the safest route, no doubt.Great Job discovering it. As previously seen, the shortest route isn't always the best route ^^ A most valuable tip GT You might consider braking a fraction before exiting the tunnel ... just a little tap is enough for me to squeeze though and shave the pipe ^^
