What cars do we need (for speed)?
What cars do we need (for speed)?
Since Underground, the car selection has remained almost unchanged: some Japanese sports cars and sedans, some European ports cars and supercars, some 1970s muscle cars and recent American sports cars... and that's pretty much all. I believe that we deserve more variety.
First of all, Need for Speed games need in my opinion more European small (ie sub-Golf) hatchbacks. And I mean hot hatches, not warm or cold versions. Punto Abarth, Corsa OPC, Polo GTI, Ibiza Cupra, 207 RC, Clio RS, Mini Cooper S (JCW!)... and smaller: Twingo RS, Swift GTI, Micra SR, C2 VTS, 500 Abarth... and old ones: 205 GTI, Fiesta XR2, Uno Turbo, R-5 Alpine...
Secondly, we should get more big sedans... and wagons: CLS AMG, M5, Panamera Turbo, Rapide, Quattroporte, CTS V-Series, RS6 Avant, FPV Falcon, HSV Commodore (or however Aussies call them)...
On the other end, I'm glad that American full-size luxury sport utility vehicles have been forgotten. But a Ram SRT-10 or an Explorer Sport Trac SVT wouldn't hurt. And a Cayenne or an X6, even less!

Yes! Totally agree.
Also Roadsters/Convertibles/Cabriolets must get back in it

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
You are right, sir! In NFS5: Porsche, you could open and close the roof - the game even showed the process in real time! Why can't we today? It'd be great to be abled to drive facing the wind (we can turn on a ventilator : D).
Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
^because of roof sccops (which aren't always used that much)^
Needs '93 Mustang Cobra. Also, why wasn't there a deuce coupe in MW or Carbon? NFS needs one of those if we get another car customization game.

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
I reckon the Exotic car list is good as it is (not without a few minor adjustments of course)
The tuners could be more varied, but I'll be happy as long as they keep the S15 Sivia from Undercover. I think it's interesting in regards to World Online that their is a picture with a 350Z-does this men their ditching the 370Z or will they have both!?
Muscles are fairly good also, but their are a couple of my personal favs missing. Even though Old school muscles are my favourite, it would be good to see a couple of top-end newer muscles in the game like the 2007 Camaro.

I don't really think that wagons are suitable for a game like NFS and the same thing goes with the sports utility vehicles, but the style of UG2's 4WD's (Hummer, Cadillac etc) would be awesome to see make a return. I see what your saying though, it would be nice to see a bit more variety in the car list.Secondly, we should get more big sedans... and wagons: CLS AMG, M5, Panamera Turbo, Rapide, Quattroporte, CTS V-Series, RS6 Avant, FPV Falcon, HSV Commodore (or however Aussies call them)...

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
I think the only wagons which would qualify to make an NFS series would be the Audi RS6 Avant and the Subaru Legacy.
Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
There are more sports Wagons:
- Audi RS2 Avant
- Audi RS4 Avant '06
- Audi RS6 avant '04 and the '09
- BMW M5 touring (E39 and E60)
- Honda Accord Tourer Type S
- Mercedes E63 AMG wagon
- Mitsubishi Galant VR4 Type-S wagon '03
- Nissan Stagea Autech 260RS ‘97
- Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B Sports Tourer ‘05
- Volkswagen Passat R36 Variant '08
- Volvo 850 T5-R Estate '95
want more?

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
There is a wagon model as well.. Same goes for the M5 and E55 / E63 AMG.
Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
It's like an Outback but with normal bumpers and no roof rails (I guess). It's easy to find pictures of it, so I won't do it for you.Dr Houbenheimer wrote:Isn't the Subaru Legacy a Sedan?
Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
They reuse the same models that they paid to license and model for. What do you expect?

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
You wonder why they remove cars for the next installment (eg Celica from UG2 wasn't in MW) when other racers have much larger car lists? Wouldn't they want to expand the list so that it's competing with other racers?

La nueva dieta carnívora sin duda está de moda.

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
IMO we need more realistic rides if its going to be underground3 which i hope it is, like in the other 2 underground games, not like in carbon where it was based around street racing but you could buy supercars, personally i dont like the supercars very much i think its good to have a few to add a bit of variety to the game but think the car list shoulod be mostly dominated by tuners and muscles, tuners in particular if it is to be underground3, for example bring back the impreza both the 09 impreza and the older models, and also the new clio and corsa and the older model megane and fiesta too, and of course the 1999 mitsubishi eclipse, as said at the top ^ we need lots of japanese imports and euro hatchbacks, IMO that would bring back the true need for speed underground.

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
Is it just me or is the new Impreza not as good looking as the previous models.
A neighbor of mine owns the 09 model and as soon as I saw it I thought it was a terrible let down, it looks like ur average Joe family sedan now

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
I agree, when I saw the hatch (which was released before the sedan) I thought the sedan would be great because the hatch looked good but alas I was wrong, but as you said the hatch is a good looking car. I'm more of a sedan man though so that was a bit of a let down for me.TheStig wrote:but then you shouldn't even get the Sedan!

ANSWER - Keep the old sedan and bring in the new hatch!

I heard that some car manufacturers don't allow their cars to be shown running from the police in video games.Dr Houbenheimer wrote:You wonder why they remove cars for the next installment (eg Celica from UG2 wasn't in MW) when other racers have much larger car lists? Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
Another obvious example would be Ferraris from NFS.

Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
Seems a bit ironic don't you think, there's Honda's in "The Fast and the Furious" and so are Ferrari's I recal in the first movie
Re: What cars do we need (for speed)?
I actually prefer the jet-styled Impreza, but the blob-eyed Impreza is ok too. The current sedan is terrible, but the hatch isn't much better.KammyworldRacerGT4 wrote:WRX STi hatch from my view? Fail.

Microsoft (Project Gotham Racing) has got the Ferrari's license.KammyworldRacerGT4 wrote:Another obvious example would be Ferraris from NFS.
It seems that Honda's policy changed after the movie and a few NfS games.Dr Houbenheimer wrote:Seems a bit ironic don't you think, there's Honda's in "The Fast and the Furious" and so are Ferrari's I recal in the first movie

No. Only in the police NFS games were Hondas / Acuras absent.Andre_online wrote:And Honda too, I believe?
