In Options/Game play/Adjust control/ Steering Dead Zone.
Could someone please explain to me what the "Dead zone" is.

The dead zone is how far you have to move a controller before the game consideres the contoller input to be off center. In the case of steering, with a 20% deadzone, you'd have to steer 10% to left or right before car would begin to steer. I usually set this 0% to 3% for a joystick or wheel. Gamepad player use larger deadzones.
