thnx guys, I'm pushing level 25 so I'm about to choose a tier 2 car (currently 21st so I still got time to decide). I drove the elise in, what was it, Carbon or Most Wanted. But what I can recall it has very good handling, so in technical circuits with lots of turns it was excellent. But the car is so light, you got put in the wall very easily. Have you had any experience with that in NFSWorld?

Here's what I am considering:

* handling: Lotus Elise
* accelleration: Escort Cosworth
* top speed: Escort Cosworth
* weight: Escort Cosworth
* looks: Lotus Elise (bit of a girl car sorry, but better than the Escort :) )

Are there any differences when the both cars are stock, or does 1 of them for example need lots of upgrades to match the other?

Stock better is Ford, he has alredy some parts on it, lotus comes without parts.. You cant make wrong desision because 400k money is easy to collect so you can buy both cars and drive what you like more.

The speed, acc and handling are way lower then Mazda (MAZDASPEED3).
i use mazda so i wanna know why Nissan is better so ill maybe change car :P
the silvia has got a better acceleration and handling, also in my opinion the perf. parts have more effect.
the number in the stats doesn't mean anything. i only use them to compare the difference in stats.

Question on Tier 3 car: what's the deal with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS? EA is spamming us online that that car is available for a week. So suppose I would buy it, what happens after that week?

About retired cars (retrieved from our Wiki). ;)
Since early December 2011 the dev team started to retire certain cars from the game, so they can be retuned or have some bugs fixed. Cars marked with RETIRED where their price should be cannot be bought. However, players who bought these cars before they were retired can still use them.
http://wiki.nfsunlimited.net/wiki/Need_ ... D_Car_List

However, this is not entirely true. Today I bought the Lotus Exige Cup 260 Adrenaline because it was available in the website. So retired cars sometimes are not really retired. They are just not available in the car dealer anymore, so you have to find them in other places. You might find them or not.

I bought the GT3 RS. Always wanted that car. :D

good call, I went to the car dealer as well to get the car I always wanted, but the salesguy said I couldn't pay with speedboosts. The bastard :)

Anyways. I think I need the GT3 RS to compete with the level 40+ guys so I'm just preparing to buy a good car. And because I see the GT3 RS topping the leaderboards a lot, I assume it must be an ok car to drive.

The mr2 is definately a boss. I'm currently in tier2 and when some1 is driving an mr2 I know to not underestimate it. Got the escort rs now and I like it, it handles good and is strong enough to keep up with some of the exotic cars (combined with sucky drivers :)). For tier3 and speedboosts I'm still waiting for an gt3 rs-like car, but what about the original poster's question: a good car with ingame-cash for tier3?

As far as I can see, only the BMW M3 GTR (E46) and the SLR McLaren are mentioned.

I like the BMW M3 GTR. It's one of my favourite cars. :) But even with careful applied Pro parts it falls behind other Tier 3 cars. It handles very well (to me it is the best car when it comes to high speed cornering ability), but lacks both top speed and acceleration. If you have invested all necessary skills in race to give you some advantage, you might be able to win. But if other players also have those skills and a proper tuned GT3 RS, RTR-X or CCX, you're done. :P I also have the SLR, but it only has Race Tuned parts.

As for Tier 1, the Toyota MR2 is definitely the best car. I carefully choose Pro parts for it, trying to balance everything, and the result is astonishing. It might lack a bit of top speed, but that's it, really.

As for Tier 2, I'm having a hard time deciding which car I should upgrade. I have various which are quite good and all have Pro parts (Audi A1, Exige Cup, Miura), but none of them is really good. What I want is the BMW M3 E30, a friend of mine has it, Pro parts installed, very balanced and it just beats anything. :D I drove it and it is an amazing car.

yeah for T1 it indeed the MR2

for T2 i'm now driving the exige cup.

for T3 gt3 rs (heard the new bmw pro is good 2)

yeah i would say for igc T3 go look for the m3 e46 (good handling but top speed and acceleration aren't so good.)
try the murcielago 1.5 million, (fast acceleration good topspeed, nice NOS effect, but the handling is under average)

Thnx, another confirmation for the bmw m3 e46.

That new bmw pro is absolutely fast. After it came out (spot the dev thing) I set my fastest multiplayer time on Brooks Street on 3:18.255 using nitro both laps and that thing just flew past me. Of course, maybe a stupid comparison (top times are half a minute faster ;)), because I was in a tier 2 car but it sure showed off its power

I think the BMW M1 will soon become a Tier 3 king. The car has impressive acceleration and handling. I haven't tuned it properly yet to see how fast it goes, but with good pro parts I'm sure it will be one of the best cars in the game. Which is normal, since it was conceived as a racing car. :)

Ok good tip, ur talking about the igc Murcielago right? I think I can handle it (practice makes perfect?), but dam it is expensive 2,5 million.... I have to save (again)

Now I know that stats don't mean much, but the bmw m1 and the gt3 rs are equal: TS 646 / ACC 625 / HND 588. Should you have tuned it someday, care to share the results? I'm starting to like the old 1979 car. Good year though, Alien comes to the cinema's :)

yeah the murcie is expensive... but it's the fastest T3 to buy with IGC
(btw if you bought it, and you can't drive it. you can train yourself.)

Compared to the MR2 and the 2000 GT-R, the Silvia sucks. :P

I bought it just to see what was the car all about. Even Pro Tuned the car is not that good. I wonder why people said it was the best Tier 1. Definitely now it is not. I regret having spent good Pro parts on it, honestly. :(
