The BMW M1 is probably one of the most recognizable cars from the German automaker. Built from 1978 to 1981, the M1 was the result of an agreement, in the late 1970s, between BMW and Lamborghini to build a production racing car in sufficient quantity for homologation. The car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro hit the streets and 456 were built, making it one of BMW's rarest model.

Powered by a a 3.5-liter twin-cam DOHC straight-6 M88 engine, the BMW M1 was RWD and mid-engined. Six separate throttle butterflies and four valves per cylinder were capable of producing around 850 hp (racing version). It was the car used for the one-make series BMW M1 Procar Championship, which ran twice, in 1979 and in 1980. The series pitted professional drivers from the Formula One World Championship, World Sportscar Championship, European Touring Car Championship, and other international series against one another using the BMW M1. Niki Lauda (1979) and Nelson Piquet were the champions.

This classic car is now available as a Tier 3 for 5500 Speedboost.
