Although I don't like FWD cars for racing, mainly because steering and traction in the same axle don't combine, for drag racing it doesn't matter much, does it? You don't have corners, so you might as well go for something different and create a FWD monster.

Sure I guess, but FWD is a bad idea for drag too, since the weight shifts OFF the drive wheels when you launch. IMO, the only thing they're good for is picking up the shopping. And only then if no-one recognises you in one.
