NFS World: Drag and new BMW

Post by Hydro_PT »

During the 2nd anniversary of Need For Speed: World, the dev. team hosted a live chat via Livestream, where they answered plenty of questions from the community. Drag mode was mentioned quite a few times, and now we have proper confirmation, since the first in-game screenshot showing this mode has appeared on Facebook.

It was also revealed that the Porsche Carrera GT will be one of the cars released alongside the new mode. This car was one of the first shown when World was still called World Online, back in the beta days, but so far it hasn't been released. The dev. team is currently designing the drag tracks, and you can leave suggestions for new tracks on their Facebook page, Twitter, or the official forums. The bridge that connects Rockport to Turnpike will certainly be one of the first drag tracks available, as the community already gathers around there for "unofficial" drag races.

In other news, a new BMW has just been released: the BMW 3.0 CSL Gr. 5. This classic racing machine from the 1970s took part in the legendary European Touring Car Championship, where it took the first place 5 years in a row, from 1975 to 1979, alongside another victory in 1973. It also claimed a class victory at the 24 Hours of LeMans 1973, and at the IMSA GT Championship in 1975. The final version of the CSL bore a 3.2-liter straight-six SOHC engine capable of developing 340 horsepower.

For some, this is already the new Tier 2 king, so be sure to get yours at the car dealer today for 2800 Speedboost!

yep apparently the CSL is exactly like the M3 Evo except slightly grippier in turns. so it's down to preference as usual.

and what's up with the carrera GT being in T4 (or S1 in the new rankings?) it's not like it's better than an LP640 or Zonda F or CCX. but never mind quicklime hasn't exactly been going for realism anyways. look at the golf Mk 1 #-o
i have nothing more to add
