The Community Challenge for Need For Speed: World, as part of the Winter Holiday Week of Games, was a success, with the community being able to race more than 50,000 times the event "Home for the Holidays" over 3 days! As a result, the dev. team has released an universal code to give everyone a new drag car that hasn't been released before: the Nissan GT-R (R35) SpecV "Snowzilla Drag"!
The Nissan GT-R (R35) is the latest model in Nissan's long-line of high performance cars (most of them known as "Skyline GT-R"). The car was initially showed as a prototype in 2001, and again in 2005. Only in 2007 did the final version of the car appeared at the Tokyo Motor Show, and the R35 was launched later that year. The car was very well received by most, and won many "Car of the Year" awards. Its performance is equivalent to a super car, while the price is significantly low when compared to similar cars from other brands. The GT-R is also very successfully in motor racing, with three main versions of the car competing around the world: the FIA GT1 World Championship car, the FIA GT3 European Championship car, and the Japanese Super GT car.
The SpecV street version was launched in 2009. It includes a new carbon fiber rear spoiler, a new grille, and new brake ducts, along with an exclusive Ultimate Black Opal paint job. Interior changes include a set of carbon fiber Recaro front seats with the rear seats being completely removed. Carbon fiber covers the center storage box, instrument panel, and replaces the majority of the interior trim. The engine is the same twin-turbo 3.8-liters V6 of the standard GT-R, capable of developing 478 bhp @6400 rpm. 60 kg were removed from the car, which makes the Nissan GT-R (R35) SpecV go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, so this is the perfect drag car for Need For Speed: World!
