Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade

Post by Bojan »

It seems Need for Speed Undercover will not have all cars available in the retail version. 2006 Koeniggsigg CCX, 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept, 2007 Porsche Cayman S, 2007 BMW Z4 M and 2007 Mercedes SL 65 AMG will be available through a Collector's Edition Upgrade which will also include over 40 exclusive vinyls, 10 pre tuned cars and twelve new circuit, sprint and checkpoint track configurations. Price is currently unknown and the downloadable is only confirmed for PS3.

Additionally there are plenty of instant upgrades available starting at $1.75 for a street package unlock to $10 for ultimate performance package. Those of you who can't be bothered with playing the career can get things instantly unlocked for a small amount of money. The whole list of items on the PSN is available here.

Oh now EA wants to come out with theUndercover Collector's Edition. I just don't want to buy the Undercover game that comes out then the Collector's Edition game comes out weeks later, but I can wait. I'm thinking EA is making this up for the way Prosteet came out. Believe me I never did like Prostreet, but EA did a great job by coming out with Undercover and hopefully come with the Undercover Collector's Edition.

This is why i want a ps3!!! My ps2 in not good enough! Damn you EA (however it is nice to know the Cayman will be in the game).

Speaking of the ps2 version, i found screenshots!!!!
http://www.us.playstation.com/PS2/Games ... Undercover

Playstaion Website, 3 screeen. The ps2 version looks alright, not comparable to the amazing ps3/360 version of the horride Wii version. A kind of nice fit between the two.
The power,
the glory
of having a fast Volvo?

I just hope this Collector's Edition will appear on the PC sooner or later. [-o<

THEY HAVE ONE OF THE CARS I LIKE THE MOST!! Porsche Cayman S :D :D

The others are OK though. The CCX is gonna be a great exotic, the Dodge Challenger Concept is a great car also, I don't really like the Z4 and the Mercedes SL65 AMG, but they're a good addition to the car list nonetheless. This year the car list is pretty complete, I must say. =D>

And the new vinyls will be also good. I would like to see EA put back those cool entire body vinyls just like in Underground and Underground 2. They were pretty cool, because sometimes it bothers me having to create original paintjobs for every car :P.

There wasn't an in-store version of the Collector's Edition for ProStreet. Undercover may follow that trend.

this pisses me off so much. i have to pay more just to get my 2 favorite cars (z4 and ccx) and they should already be in the game, its not like those cars are a "premium" so FU ea.

Which leads me to believe that there won't be an in-store version of the CE; it'll only be available as a purchaseable download.

What pisses me off even more is that in the past the CE content has actually been included in the retail versions, but locked. I don't want to pay simply to unlock something I already bought.

Which makes me glad that I planned to get the PC version all along. Yay hacks!

Why can't I just buy the full game in stores? I'm getting it on PS3, but... I can't get the collectors edition because I don't have a credit card, and we don't have PSN pre-paid in Australia for some strange reason. :( I just wan't to get a full game, and I'll spend $10 or 5 more in stores.
