Postby Skyline_man » 13 Nov 2007, 14:54

Gametrailers posted its video review for NFSPS, so go ahead and download it here.

You can also find a video comparison between the PS3 & 360 versions of the game.

Thanks to Xenon for the heads up.

I liked the review, they said it would appeal to those who want a challenge That's me, and imo the visuals look absolutely fantastic, dunno what GT does not like about them :|

guess they did not pay gt enough to put a nicer review . . . 7.7 is lame . . . . . presentaion and design gets 10 - 9 . . nothing less

just watched the ps3 and 360 comparison video . . 360 has better res and light :? . . but PC graphics is way better

PS3/xbox 360 look the same.. They should look the same anyway, considering PS3 has the hardware so called 'better' then X360 and Pro street matched the hardware to Xbox 360 so it was made for X360 but since PS3 has 'better' hardware and bigger disk that means EA could just copy & paste the same contents and everythin on the disk and walla! same thing.

What a stupid review, I don't agree on it at all...
for me this game should've gotten 8.5 or something ( based on what I've heard played and seen)

Looks like ps3 gets no love from EA
4.9 for story is...if you refers the "story" concept as Crysis or COD4, then 4.9 is quite fair
BUT i won't give a damn abt story as long as i could drive my rides and custom'em.

if u ask me, i think that NFSPS should get @ least a 9.0 !! every year EA tries to create something new :D . i'm sick of cops they were hunting me since hot pursuit 2  , and i drove in the city in u2, mw & carbon so that's enough !! PS is my thing and enjoy playing it guys :D .

Yeah, and that's what Pro Street is about, professional street racing, you don't see a certain someone driving a BMW M3 GTR madly with cops behind around anyone's city. I'm so getting the PC version, since I'm upgrading my PC.

they tried to make the ps3 look bad by using a lower-quality camera. if they were the same camera, they would look identicle.

I think the review was rather fair. The story rating didn't really deserve anything more, cause compared to the past NFS games, this one really doesn't have a story. You're just a racer advancing through the ranks. The other races don't have names, they don't have stories, they're just opponents. I don't think this is a bad thing either, cause I believe the storylines in the past games were overdone and cheesy. An arcade racer doesn't need Hollywood cinematics attached to it.

I must say I got excited when I saw the performance tuning screen. That looks like more options than we have had since UG2. Very nice, I was hoping EA would finally give this area of the game some attention.

I hope for the sake f the PS3 gamers that what you are saying is right, cause it actually did look pretty bad in comparison to the 360 version.

Im getting the PC version and im even though i can still run it in my actual computer i will upgrade it for Xmas and add a little juice to my gaming with the G25 wheel.

Im gonna love this game.

Cheers!!! :)

Imo story in a racing game isnt that important since you cant actually see the story heroes and etc. You see only the cars. Meaning, the lack of story isnt a bad thing as long as its replaced by big chunk of customization options.

Well to be honest im not playing this game for a story. If i wanted story i would go buy a RPG. The only things im expecting from PS are beating all the AI driven cars in each race and then bringing it on at the online races where is where i will be having more fun.

Seriously, i think if anybody was expecting a deep and extensive story in a racing game they should be shot.

Cheers!!! :P
