First NFS:MW Preview
First NFS:MW Preview
1Up posted the first Need for Speed Most Wanted preview with 5 great screenshots (/me drools). Article features an interview with the game producer Micheal Mann and Justin Wiebe, assistant producer.
A nice detail is they mentioned NFSUnlimited.net in the article!
Read it now a see the screens, click here.

There are 2 things that worry me about that preview (which has nothing to do with the game, everything about MW sounds awesome).
1: Under NFS HP:
2: Under NFS HP2:
1: Under NFS HP:
I thought (and still believe) that the original NFS also had cops. Or have I been living in a lie for the past 6-7 years?"This was the first interaction with the cops," says Mann.
2: Under NFS HP2:
I thought NFS PU was the most loved NFS game...Release on PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC, the game has sold over a million copies to date and is still cited as the game everyone loved the most.
Why isn't there a screenshot of the front of the car

And a quote about the features in Most Wanted:1up: The Underground games pushed the limits of the PS2 (in particular) quite visibly. Are there things that you want to do with the franchise that the current technology just won't allow?
JW: A game designer's dream is to have no limitations on what they can create. I personally would love nothing more than to create an entire country to drive across; however, reality usually steps-in and says, "Well, that's just not possible."
"Most Wanted will take full advantage of the open word design and build upon it by adding patrolling cops, interactive world moments, and open areas to create the ultimate interactive playground experience.
That has been written by the 1UP guys... they could have made a mistake...Morty wrote: I thought (and still believe) that the original NFS also had cops. Or have I been living in a lie for the past 6-7 years?
Yeah, for PC users. But 1UP is a PS2 site, and the best NFS ever made for PS2 is Hot Pursuit 2Morty wrote:Under NFS HP2: (...)

I personally like HP2 the most, even being a PC user... I love Pursuit games, that's why Im overexcited by MW (and by those amazing screens. Yippee!!)
EA is not THAT crazy to let out the PC (I guess......)jemc wrote:they didn't mention PC.

Im worried about this part of the interview:
I fear.. Some unrealistic tuned Golf against a superexotic Ferrari 575M... Golf wins... and /me gets mad.1UP: How comprehensive will the modding for those tuner cars be?
MM: It's still a big part of Most Wanted. You'll be able to upgrade the performance of your cars to race against any class of vehicle, as well as outrun the cops. You'll also have the challenge of managing your "heat" meter to keep the cops off your tail. One of the key ways they can do this is to take your car into the shop and change its appearance. I currently have my Japanese import tuned-out to race against exotics...it feels so good to leave an exotic in the dust.
A Japanese import OK.. but a GOLF............ would be rediculous as I see it.
Someone wrote that they hate the big spoiler, well it's not rice. That's actually a stock spoiler because it's a BMW M3 GTR.
Secondly, I love BMWs and I can hardly wait for the game.
Thirdly, it is coming for PC, check http://www.needforspeed.com.
